Aaron Taylor-Johnson Cast as Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy
Actor Aaron Taylor Johnson joined Ryan Gosling in Universal’s big screen version of the 1980s adventure television series, The fell guy, revealed The Hollywood Reporter. The film also features Emily Blunt and will be led by John Wick and High-speed train director David Leitch. The original television series created by Glen A. Larson, which was set between 1981 and 1986, followed Hollywood stuntman and bounty hunter Colt Seavers, who uses his brute skills to track and capture bail jumpers with a little help. However, in the new film, take away the bounty hunter part and see Gosling as a past stuntman who finds himself in a movie with the star he worked with long ago who is the one who replaced him. However, things go awry when the star disappears.
Taylor-Johnson will play the disappearing star. Blunt was cast as a prosthetic makeup artist who shares a romantic past with Gosling’s stuntman. The feature film is written by British screenwriter and director Drew Pearce which has features like Hotel Artemis, iron man 3, hail you king to his credit. Gosling rides on success of Russo Brothers action thriller The gray man. While Blunt played action-heavy roles in features such as edge of tomorrow and A silent place.
Johnson-Taylor is collaborating with Leitch again after recently starring in High-speed train alongside Brad Pitt, Joey King Prince and many more. His recent credits include appearances in Christopher Nolanit is Principle and Matthew Vaughnit is The king’s man. After appearing as MCU’s Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron he’s also gearing up for his next superhero project Kraven the hunterSony’s version of the classic Spider-Man villain hitting theaters in 2023. His other credits include John Lennonthe biopic Nowhere Boy and Tom Fordthe thriller nocturnal animals for which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. With a talented cast and crew behind the feature, The fell guy would be a movie to watch.
The film is produced by Kelly McCormick and Leitch via their 87North shingle. Gosling also produces, with Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady. Universal’s Executive Vice President of Production Matt Reilly and director of development Tony Ducret oversee the project.
