Actress Charity Nnaji says ‘average’ African men are threatened by successful women

Nollywood actress Charity Nnaji said in an Instagram post that an “average” African man is often threatened by his partner’s success.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, April 11, the actress joined the long list of celebrities and internet users reacting to the death of famous gospel musician, Osinachi Nwachukwu.

It has been alleged that the famous Nigerian gospel artist died after being brutally assaulted by her husband, Mr Nwachukwu.

Mr Nwachukwu was arrested by men from Lugbe Police Division on Sunday April 10 after the late singer’s brother reported a suspected homicide case to the police. It comes amid reports that he has over the years subjected the late Osinachi to physical assault.

Speaking about recent developments, Charity opined that the “African mentality” makes men violent towards their wives.

In his final paragraph, Nnaji urged men to learn to accept it when their wives have more money than they do.
