Actress Sheela Rajkumar to play female lead in film to be shot entirely in Krishnagiri

Actress Sheela Rajkumar, who has shot into the limelight for her stellar performances in critically acclaimed films like ‘To Let’ and ‘Mandela’, will next play the female lead in director Justin Prabhu’s upcoming film which will be entirely shot in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu.

The as-yet-untitled film, which is produced by Manjal Cinemas, may well be the first Tamil film to be shot entirely in the neighborhood.

Hari Krishnan, who rose to fame for his critically acclaimed performance in Pa. Ranjith’s film ‘Madras’, plays the male lead.

Prabhu says, “The story is about a woman who lives in a mountain village and her suitor who lives in a nearby village. of Krishnagiri. I don’t think there is any other Tamil movie that was shot entirely in the same area.”

The film, according to the director, will revolve around a middle-class couple and will show, among other things, how society tries to thwart a woman, seeking to highlight her skills and individuality. How she overcomes all of this will also be part of what the film is about.

The film will have cinematography by A Kumaran and editing by Ramanan and work on the film is expected to begin soon.
