American actors frustrated with lack of dining options while filming on Queensland’s North Stradbroke Island: ‘There was only one pub!’
Two American actors from Amazon Prime’s The Wilds were unhappy with local dining options while filming the series on location in Queensland.
Charles Alexander, 27, and Alex Fitzalan, 26, recently complained that there were only a few places to eat on North Stradbroke Island, where the show was filmed.
“We became intimately familiar with the Stradbroke pub menu,” Charles said, according to the Mail Mailadding: ‘They only had one pub to eat in.’

“It was absolutely a challenge to get food after we finished work…and everyone says, ‘Good luck getting food,'” Alex said.
“It was awful at times, but we make it work.”
North Stradbroke Island has a population of just 2,026, making it few amenities and dining options.
Despite the valid reviews, some Stradbroke locals were unhappy with the couple’s frustration with the food.

Island resident Carolyn Turner suggested Hollywood stars should have stayed in character and “practiced finding their own food and cooking it”.
The Wilds follows a group of teenage girls who find themselves stranded on a desert island, only to find that they are part of a social experiment.
Charles plays outspoken lacrosse player Kirin O’Conner on the show, while Alex plays Seth Novak, the half-brother of main character Henry Tanaka.

The first season of The Wilds was released on Amazon in December 2020 to rave reviews from critics.
The second season was released earlier this month and fans are already clamoring for a third season.
“We have a really good roadmap for Season 3,” showrunner Amy B. Harris told Entertainment Weekly.
