The very first woman to play Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker isn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd – at least that’s what it seems.
The 39-year-old actress from West Yorkshire now resides in London with her husband and child, whom she has deliberately kept out of the spotlight.
Married to a Hollywood star, the Thirteenth Doctor is more than he looks.

Jodie has been married to her husband Christian Contreras for almost 13 years and shares a daughter together, who is now five or six years old.
The couple married in 2008 after initially meeting at the Guildhall School of Music. Christian appeared in the American television series Soulmates in 2020 and starred alongside Jessica Chastain in Zero Dark Thirty.
He has also worked alongside true A-listers including Benedict Cumberbatch, Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt.
If you’re not a Doctor Who fan, you might recognize Jodie Whittaker from elsewhere. She starred in the iconic St Trinians movie as Beverly and even appeared in an episode of Doctors in 2006.
She also played the role of Beth Latimer in the television crime drama Broadchurch between 2013 and 2017.

Jodie made history when she became the first woman to play the world’s most famous time traveler four years ago.
Speaking to the BBC in 2017, she revealed that it was “very difficult” to keep her role a secret – even from her family. She even revealed that she has a code name for her next role, which she took over from previous Time Lord Peter Capaldi.
She said: “In my house, and with my agent, it was The Clooney. Because to me and my husband, George is an iconic guy. And we thought, what’s a really famous iconic name? just appropriate. “
She added that she had drawn herself into a “whole world of lies” after only being allowed to tell her husband about the exciting news.
Jodie is known to stay away from social media and keep her life private, private, having only posted on Instagram three times in the past year.
But fans were thrilled to see Jodie post a cryptic clue to her Instagram feed four days ago, sharing a Doctor Who poster that read “If you’ve spotted spaceships or anything unusual, call the doctor on 0800. 678 3110. “
Commenting below, one fan said: “Jodie you are an awesome doctor, I can’t wait to see where the show is going this season!”
Another added: “I love Doctor Who so excited for the new season, great respect for the serious legend of Jodie.”
A third rang after calling the number written on the message saying “This is what I called and this is a funny little message with Jodie saying the doctor says” there is a big evil happening and we need all the help to stop it “.”
Jodie is set to appear on The BBC Graham Norton show on Friday night (October 15) and will no doubt hint at what’s to come for The Doctor in new episodes coming out early next year.
