ABC’s first group of artists confirmed for the 2021 American Music Awards includes the six-time AMA BTS winners and AMA winner Megan Thee Stallion. They are expected to perform their chart-topping “Butter” collaboration on this year’s star-studded show, marking the single’s televised world premiere.
BTS has performed at AMAs 2020 before and is competing this year in the Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Song, and Favorite Duo or Pop Group categories. Megan Thee Stallion is up for three AMAs this year, including Favorite Trending Song, Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album.
This year’s WADA nominee, Olivia Rodrigo, will take the stage for the first time. And Bad Bunny, double AMA winner, returns to the AMA stage to perform “Lo Siento BB: /”.
Cardi B will make her debut as a host with the 2021 American Music Awards. The show will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21 at 8 p.m. ET / PT (delayed on the West Coast).
AMAs are voted on by fans, with voting still open through TikTok.
