There have been reports that Berlin club Köpenick are on the verge of outright buying Leon Dajaku from the Bayern reserve squad. After the teenager got his medical exam on Sunday, the fifth-placed German Bundesliga announced the deal for Kosovo would be a six-month loan with option to buy.
“I am convinced that the move to Berlin is the right step for me,” Dajaku said in a statement, “At Union I will have the opportunity to gain a foothold in the Bundesliga and prove myself at the highest level. L he team has played an exceptional season so far and I am delighted to be a part of it. “
Dajaku can be used very flexibly on offense, playing on both wings and also working as a starting midfielder. Since Bayern snatched him away from VfB Stuttgart to play with his reserves in 2019, his market value has fallen from € 300,000 to € 2.3 million. He remains under contract with the Bavarians until 2023.
