EastEnders bombshell as Whitney Dean discovers paternity betrayal? | Television and radio | Show biz & TV

Whitney Dean (played by Shona McGarty) was taken under the wing of Terry ‘Rocky’ Cant (Brian Conley) in EastEnders. Sonia Fowler’s dad (Natalie Cassidy) spotted the market trader’s singing talent and tried to help Whitney get into show business. However, could there be a heartbreaking reason behind his eagerness to support the Walford resident?

Whitney was introduced to BBC viewers in 2008 as the adopted daughter of Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

Bianca was in a relationship with Whitney’s father, Nathan Dean, and raised the young girl as her own when he died in a traffic accident in 2002.

The market trader had a strained relationship with his mother Debra Dean (Ruth Gemmell) who abandoned her daughter when she was a baby.

Debra left Whitney with her ex-husband Nathan and showed little interest in her when they reunited years later.

“What’s the plan with Kathy?” Whitney asked and he replied, “Like I said, it’s finito, it’s done.”

“But why? It can’t be that bad, just give her a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates and she’ll bring you back in heartache,” Whitney remarked.

“Looks like she’s in more trouble than she’s worth,” Jen said. “Did I hear correctly?” You are single again.

“I’m running a singing competition, the top prize is a day in a recording studio and £ 10,000,” Jen continued.

“Sorry, £ 10,000?” Whitney joked and Rocky remarked, “You never said that. Well, you sure aren’t going to say no right now.

“Let’s do it,” the market trader agreed before Jen warned, “It’s only open to professionals, would you be able to get paid performance in time to qualify? “

“Of course she will, I’m her manager,” said Rocky. “Leave it to me.”

Determined to find Whitney a paid job, Rocky asked Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) a favor.

The owner of Queen Vic was hesitant at first, but changed his mind when Rocky suggested hosting a charity event.

Could Rocky’s eagerness to help Whitney be related to his fatherhood?

EastEnders continues on BBC One Thursday at 7:35 p.m.
