Meena (played by Paige Sandhu) arrived in Emmerdale Village last year as the sweet and troublesome younger sister of Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker). However, a few months ago, it was revealed that she had a dark past, which led to her killing her first victim in the ITV soap opera, Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger). She has since planned several other murders, including those of her boyfriend David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and her secret lover, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins). As the 50th anniversary approaches, however, it looks like Bosses may seek an end to his reign of terror as they draw inspiration from some past storylines.
On October 17, 2022, the weekday drama series will celebrate its 50-year airing, making it the second-oldest soap opera on television behind Coronation Street.
For the show’s 40th anniversary, a one-hour live episode was scheduled that featured plenty of dramatic moments.
One of the most shocking and frightening was when longtime character Carl King (Tom Lister) was murdered after finding out that Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) was having an affair with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) behind his back. girlfriend Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).
This exposed the villain’s true colors and he then killed Gennie Walker (Sian Reese-Williams) and held the villagers of The Woolpack hostage.
The anniversary episode was the catalyst for a deadly chain of events and so could Meena in the 50th anniversary special.

Unlike Cameron, Meena has killed quite a few people before, both during her time in the village and before she arrived.
This would mean that a beloved character finding out that she is a serial killer during the 50th anniversary episode would have the opposite effect.
This would be the end of her reign of terror in the Dales and could see her meet her maker as she gets her reward.
At the time of the historic episode airing, it will be exactly two years since Manpreet’s sister joined the series.
Providing a full moment for the serial killer, its release would set off new storylines for those who have been subjected to its cruel games.
Speaking to the press, including to Express.co.uk, producer Kate Brooks hinted at plans in place to celebrate the historic event.
When asked if there were any projects going on, she replied, “Yes, in short! We’re already in the midst of some big talk for Emmerdale’s big birthday party.
“We already have some great ideas up our sleeves. As much as I would like to whet everyone’s appetite on this a little more, I really can’t say anything else.
“But it goes without saying that it will be a fitting and unforgettable tribute to a show reaching this wonderful milestone and we will certainly be celebrating Emmerdale in all its glory.”
It has not been confirmed when Meena’s reign of terror will end, but the 50th anniversary would reflect the story of serial killer Cameron perfectly.

It has been quite a challenge for the actress who plays Meena, Paige, to take on the character of a serial killer.

“But what I usually do before every scene I’m in [is go back to] my story. It wasn’t put in the scripts but that’s my story, Meena killed twice before coming to Emmerdale.
“What I do is replay one of the murders she commits and I change my body language, I stand like her, I clear my head of all thoughts.
“Just imagine killing that person and I feel like them. That’s what I do,” the soap opera star explained of how she plays the role.

Sadly, those will take a deadly turn as an incident in icy rapids leaves lives at stake, including those of David, Victoria, Mapreet and Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).
Meena will sideways watch her boyfriend and secret lover try to save each other before she steps in with a deadly plan in mind.
The action won’t end there because someone will see her committing her deadly act and she will be chasing him.
But who will emerge alive this week?

“We all loved it. We finished filming on Monday and everyone was really sad to come back to normal filming because it was the most special, amazing, fun and amazing time ever.
“Everyone brought their A-game and we were all so grateful to be a part of it. I can’t wait to see it.
“Usually I don’t like to watch myself but because the stunts are so amazing and we had all the fancy camera gear I think it will hopefully be epic to see in Emmerdale.
“So I’m definitely going to watch it. From the clips I’ve seen so far, it’s going to be cool and exciting.”
