Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed drama For all mankind has been officially renewed for a fourth season. The 10-episode third season premiered in June 2022 and will end on August 12.

The third season took the action forward to the 1990s and featured a three-way race to be the first to land on Mars. The United States and the Soviet Union continued their battle for space superiority, but a private company upped the ante by entering the race to put humans on the Red Planet.

Edi Gathegi joined the cast for season three, playing Dev Ayesa, the CEO of Helios. Helios quickly became a major player in the space race, and its status as a legitimate competitor solidified after hiring Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman) to lead their flight team.

In a brief interview with Showbiz Junkies on Fandom’s 2022 San Diego Comic-Con red carpet ahead of the renewal announcement, Gathegi agreed. For all mankind really deliver the goods this season. “It’s getting better and better. Every season is getting better and better,” Gathegi said.

Describing Dev Ayesa, Gathegi said, “He is fascinating. He’s a fascinating guy, very smart, very ambitious, and he has so many layers that we haven’t even discovered yet.

When asked if we would learn more about Dev’s story, Gathegi replied, “If we get another season…I’m sure we will.”

Edi Gathegi admitted he was late to the game when it came to boarding the For all mankind moving train. “You know, I didn’t watch it until I was there, but when the opportunity arose, I fell in love with it and fell in love. I had to sign up after watching it .

And in a recent interview with Screen Rant, Gathegi opened up about Dev’s relationship with Ed Baldwin.

“Dev is just a ‘best ideas win’ type of guy. There’s a bit of nostalgia with Ed Baldwin and what Ed was able to accomplish, so it’s kind of like a cool “I hang out with Babe Ruth “. But really, at the end of the day, Babe Ruth is useless and we just have his collectible and move on and find the most qualified person for the job, but he just happens to think that could always be Ed,” Gathegi explained. “So Dev is mostly about success and being successful in his goals, in his business. better.

In addition to Joel Kinnaman and Edi Gathegi, the third season features Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Sonya Walger, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu, Casey Johnson, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt. Ronald D. Moore, Ben Nedivi, and Matt Wolpert created the series and serve as executive producers, with Nedivi and Wolpert serving as showrunners. Maril Davis, David Weddle, Bradley Thompson and Nichole Beattie are also executive producers.

Filming is expected to begin in August 2022.

The parcel:For all mankind explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The series presents an ambitious world where astronauts, NASA engineers and their families find themselves at the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate timeline of history – a world in which the USSR defeats the United States on the moon.

The propulsive third season of the alternate reality series takes viewers into a new decade, jumping to the early ’90s with a high-octane race to a new planetary frontier: MARS. The red planet becomes the new front of the space race not only for the United States and the Soviet Union, but also an unexpected new entrant with much to prove and even more at stake. Our characters come face to face as their ambitions for Mars collide and their loyalties are tested, creating a pressure cooker that comes to a decisive conclusion.
