Harry Styles shares details on balancing music and acting with personal life

British singer Harry Styles explains how he manages to balance his musical career and his acting career.

In an interview with Dazed, the former One Direction member, 27, spoke of “compartmentalizing” his personal and professional life.

“I have always tried to compartmentalize my personal life and my professional life,” he said.

“I like to challenge myself and do something different and the movies are definitely where I feel most out of my comfort zone,” he explained.

“I come from music where I think nobody really knows how it works, but I’m kinda in my comfort zone! But in the movies, when I introduce myself, I’m the new one.”

” I have not been [an actor] for a long time and it’s really cool, I feel like I’ve learned so much and life is about learning, ”he shared.

“There was a time when I was younger, and I was in the group, where I would have been afraid that everything would end. I didn’t necessarily know who I was if I wasn’t in the group. . “

“Now the idea of people saying ‘We don’t like your music anymore, go away’ doesn’t scare me. I think there was a time when that was the case. It gives me the freedom to sort of go, “Great! “”

“I don’t work from a place of fear. I work from a place where I want to work and try different things, ”he added.

“This is really the first opportunity where I felt like I had the time to seize it since I left home, to be honest,” he continued.

“So in the future, I’m just going to take things as they happen – how nice some of these things are, how some of these things aren’t nice – and observe them. “Styles said.

“When we get back to some semblance of normalcy, I will check with some parts of myself and make sure I don’t get lost again and get dragged back inside,” he added.
