The Walking Dead is back with Season 11 and the final installment is full of suspenseful twists and turns.
Attention is drawn to the return of a vengeful Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) as she comes face to face with old nemesis Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Still, two key characters remain at the forefront of post-apocalyptic drama – fan-favorite duo Carol and Daryl.

How old is Carol in The Walking Dead?
Carol is a born leader and survivor, which has made fans question her age.
They might be surprised to learn that in the original Robert Kirkman comics, she is a 25-year-old housewife.
The TV show differs when it comes to Carol’s age, which is likely closer to actress McBride’s actual age of 56.
The series has been going on for 11 years, so in the first season she would probably be around 45.
The character’s Wiki Fandom page cites her as being between her late 40s and early 50s.
She also commented on what fans can expect from the series finale, saying it has a very different tone from previous seasons.
In an interview with TV Line, she said: âAt first they [Daryl and Carol] always try to mend their relationship and restore trust.
âI think they’ve come to terms with everything they’ve been through, but they still need to find that connection they had.
“Carol kinda has her tail between her legs, but she’s determined to make their relationship work.”
She may have a hard time reaching Daryl on an emotional level, as he’s been through a lot while he’s been away from the group.
He began to bond with survivor Leah (Lynn Collins), but she vanished on top of him and he couldn’t help but feel a sense of rejection.
As a result, he could cut himself off from Carol as he doesn’t want to be hurt by someone else he loves.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Carol’s journey, with one saying, âI finally caught up with The Walking Dead and it hurts my heart, Daryl and Carol aren’t cool. “
Another replied, “I don’t remember exactly what episode it was, but Daryl told Carol that he would never hate her or could ever hate her.”
A third said, “I went back to looking at the walking dead and man, Carol is so awesome. There isn’t a single line where I don’t line up with her. Such a great character.”
The Walking Dead Season 11 airs Sundays on AMC and Mondays on Disney Plus.
