Hulu posted the following description of Tell me lies:

Tell me lies follows a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship that unfolds for 8 years. When Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco meet in college, they’re at that formative age where seemingly mundane choices pave the way for irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addicting tangle that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.

Grace Van Patten will play Lucy Albright, seemingly a sheltered but well-adjusted girl from a wealthy town on Long Island. Her acerbic humor and often cool demeanor have earned her the “Ice Queen” label among her friends. But beneath her confident façade, Lucy hides a childhood trauma that left her disconnected from her peers. When she meets Stephen, Lucy sees in him a dark tendency that she recognizes in herself and will inadvertently bring her demons to light.
