The Squid Game is a worldwide phenomenon. The dystopian series directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk is beloved on all sides for its gripping story, thrill quotient, and performance. Of course, actor Lee Jung-Jae, who plays main protagonist Seong Gi-hun, enjoys the love and admiration he receives from everyone, like the rest of the cast. The cast is now in California where a special screening of Squid Game has been announced. Creator Hwang Dong Hyuk is there with Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae-soo and Jung HoYeon. On the red carpet, Lee Jung Jae was asked how his life had changed after the show given that he had become so famous. The host of NBC’s Extra TV asked, “I’m sure you can’t leave the house anymore without people recognizing you. What has been the biggest change in your life since the show came out? ”
According to Koreaboo, he responded by saying, “Yes, you are right, indeed. The biggest change has to be how I am so recognized by everyone everywhere, even in the United States.” He added that people would watch him in restaurants and the streets and immediately ask questions about Squid Game. Today, Lee Jung Jae is one of Korea’s most respected actors. He was the youngest to win the Best Actor award at the age of 26 for his work in City Of The Rising Sun. His other projects have also received critical and commercial acclaim. People called the channel for being so ignorant of his illustrious career. This is how people criticized the issue as worthy of the cringe.
Lee Jung Jae is a leading star in Korea.
His popularity is not sudden to him.
It’s such a Hollywood-centric question. #squidgame https://t.co/3rP0C16BSR– Oreocheesecake (@kikzsk) November 11, 2021
Many thought this question was callous and disrespectful⦠Lee Jung Jae a star since the 90s⦠Internet users criticized the fact that the journalist would have known about this fact if she had done some research before the interview. #facts #LeeJungJae #SquidGame Going through @allkpop https://t.co/9noEVdZ3kd

Well, it’s not just with Lee Jung Jae, even fans of other global Korean sensations like BTS have called out western interviewers for their myopic vision and foolish questions. Squid Game made as much money as Avengers at the box office. Well done to the team, once again!
