Martin Clunes plays the Met DCI Sutton’s lead investigating officer in ITV’s Manhunt: The Night Stalker, the sequel to the series that premiered in 2019.
The 59-year-old actor is at the forefront of the hunt to catch notorious serial rapist Delroy Grant, who was the country’s most wanted man.
Martin is famous for his other roles on television, like in Men Behaving Badly in the 90s, as well as Doc Martin, to name just two.

Apart from his career, Martin is married to his wife producer Philippa Braithwaite who has worked on both the Manhunt and Doc Martin shows.
The couple have been married since 1997 and are still going strong.
Martin’s proposal to his wife is most certainly a proposal for the grandchildren that can only be described as bizarre but also very sweet.
The star proposed to Philippa while he was filming a documentary.
In an interview with the Irish News, Martin recalled the moment he got on his knees, saying, âI was on a vacation program and they had agreed to fly to Philippa.
âI had done San Francisco and Hawaii on the same trip and she came out after filming in Hawaii.
