Sorrentino spoke of his past “difficult battles”. He found that using positive affirmations and living what he preached had helped him lead a sober life and have the strength to endure a nine-month prison sentence.

“Over the past two years I have faced some tough battles and what has helped me is believing in myself and these positive affirmations,” said Sorrentino.

Some of Sorrentino’s mantras include “The return is always greater than the reverse”, “we didn’t come this far just to get this far” and “the best view comes from the most difficult climb”.

However, “once I realized that these statements were helping me, in turn, I began to put them on my social networks to help others with what they are going through in life,” said the reality TV star.

“I see all the time in my DMs and on Twitter and social media that people are using which has helped me help them and their story, and it’s just amazing. You know, if you had told me maybe 10 years ago that I would be that person or that I would be the best version of myself. I don’t know if I would have believed you. You know, but again I’m so proud that even some of these mistakes I made made me the great man that I am today.

Sorrentino also knows when it’s time to “disconnect” from social networks

Although he uses his social media to inspire and educate, Sorrentino understands the importance of disconnecting. He explained that it is very important to take the time to just enjoy the world around him.

“Social media is important to me because it’s part of my job, you know? And that’s also part of me because I send a positive message to the world, ”he revealed.

“A lot of times I put my phone down because it’s unhealthy to have it on you all the time. And I want to get to real life; loves being a father and husband, doing these things and being strong in the gym, ”he said.

“I think it’s also important to have a balance. But for me, like I said, it’s my job, and also, I feel like when I send these quotes online I’m helping someone you know. It’s a big problem. It’s a very big deal, ”Sorrentino concluded.
