Kriti Sanon is looking forward to a busy 2022 like she did five outings planned for the year. the 31 year old actor who received positive responses to his performance in the comedy-drama Mimi, recently opened up about how his friends and family reacted to his decision to become an actor.
Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Kriti said her relatives were quite worried about her joining the film industry at first but her parents were supportive anyway. Kriti is an engineer, so those close to her were “shocked” by her decision. “They were like itni bright ladki hai, padhayi mein itni achi hai, kyun yeh sab chhodke jana (she’s such a bright girl, good at academics, why let it all go)? »
Kriti added that they were worried she might not get married because “nobody wants to marry an actor or a model”. “There were a lot of things like shaadi nahi hoti jaldi (the wedding will be delayed). You hear all these things, you joke about them, you laugh about them. The Hum Do Hamare Do actor said getting married “was never on his agenda”.
Kriti, in the same chat, said she was quite shocked when one of her male friends pointed out that marriage could be a problem if she chose to be in the entertainment industry. “A male friend of mine, who is also still a friend, said marriage was becoming a problem, so I was just shocked that my generation thought that way too. It was kind of shocking and I wondered why everything the world is talking about marriage,” she said.
Kriti made her Hindi film debut in 2014 alongside Tiger Shroff in Heropanti. In 2022, we will see her in Bachchan Pandey, Shehzada, Ganapath, Adipurush and Bhediya.
