Lori Loughlin returns as Abigail Stanton in new Christmas teaser



Abigail Stanton is back. GAC Family recently revealed the first look at Lori Loughlin picking her up again When the heart calls you role in the next When hopes call Christmas special.

ET shared the clip for Loughlin as Abigail. In the brief teaser, the former mayor of Hope Valley stands in front of a Christmas tree with his adopted son Cody (Carter Ryan) by his side.

“Cody, nothing has made me happier than being your mother,” said Abigail.

“Is that what you mean?” he asks.

“With all my heart,” she said.

Lori Loughlin returns in “When Calls the Heart” spin-off

The When hope calls The Christmas special marks Loughlin’s first acting role in more than two years. The 57-year-old actor played Abigail in When the heart calls you for six years until she was dismissed in 2019 due to his involvement in the college admissions scandal.

However, as Loughlin will reprise his role as Abigail in the second season of the When the heart calls you spin-off, she won’t be returning on the parent show, which airs on another network. Hallmark Channel has made it clear that they have no plans to work with Loughlin in the future.

“Hallmark Channel has not chosen Lori Loughlin in any current projects, including When the heart calls you, and we do not intend to launch it in the future. It was chosen by GAC Family, a totally separate cable network not affiliated with Hallmark Channel or Crown Media Family Networks, ”Hallmark Channel said in a statement shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

When hope calls Originally aired on Hallmark’s streaming service Hallmark Movies Now in 2019. But for its second season, it’s moving to GAC Family, a new network run by a former Hallmark Channel executive.

When hope calls Season 2 airs on Sunday, December 18 with a two-part vacation special. In A Christmas in the countryside, part 1, the people of Brookfield come together to host a Christmas festival with the aim of winning the title of the nation’s No.1 Christmas town in the United States. In the midst of preparations, Abigail and Cody get off the stage coach, after bringing a struggling boy to Lillian’s orphanage (Morgan Kohan).

In A Christmas in the countryside, part 2, photojournalist Paul Franklin strives to capture the magic of the Christmas celebration at Brookfield. Meanwhile, Lillian, Gabriel (RJ Hatanaka) and the orphans are strapped for ways to give the troubled boy hope for the future. But then, a secret Sana appears to grant holiday wishes. And Abigail ends up having a deep conversation with someone from her past.
