Priyanka Chopra Says Mom Madhu Had No Hope of Getting Married: ‘She’s Very Excited I Finally Did It’

Actor-producer Priyanka Chopra and her husband, singer Nick Jonas’ wedding was a grand extravaganza that captivated their fans. However, it seems her mother Madhu Chopra was relieved by the wedding as she had “no hope” of the global star getting married.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Priyanka revealed that her mother was “really excited” that she finally said “yes.” “She really is an Asian mom, very excited that I finally made it. She had no hope,” the actor joked as he revealed how his mother pushed him to start a production company at the age of 30. Priyanka said her mother told her, “‘Oh my God, you won’t have an acting career anymore because everyone wants to work with a younger one. We have so need a company,” she added, adding that her marriage had now “taken away” her mother’s attention.

Meanwhile, Priyanka and Nick finally have time together. The duo were seen strolling at San Diego’s Del Mar Dog Beach with their German Shepherd Gino, chihuahua Diana and husky named Panda. Photos of the two have gone viral on social media.

The photos show Priyanka in a black jacket, which she teamed with a white top and blue cropped jeans. Nick, meanwhile, opted for a white T-shirt, black pants and a matching jacket. The two were seen walking hand-in-hand on the beach.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married in 2018. Recently, the actor caught the eye when he dropped his last name from his social media handles. The move has led people to speculate about the status of Priyanka’s marriage to American singer Nick Jonas. Priyanka denied the rumors and said she was “amused” to see “everything becomes so important to people”.

On the work front, Priyanka was last seen in The Matrix Resurrection. In the film, she tried on the role of Sati. The character originally featured as a child in The Matrix Revolutions, in 2003. The Matrix Resurrections also features Keanu Reeves as Neo, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Morpheus, Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, and supporting players Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris and Jada Pinket Smith.

Now she looks forward to Citadel. “There’s nothing quite like Citadel on TV, I think. It’s massive scale action, extremely polished, stunt work, but at the same time it’s drama and it has heart,” she told Collider.
