In a recent interview, Ranbir expressed his excitement and nervousness about becoming a father and revealed how he is going to discuss movies with his children. During the chat, the actor also revealed that his and Alia Bhatt’s children would call him “dad.”

Opening up about his feelings as he prepares to become a first-time parent, Ranbir told PTI, “I feel grateful, excited, nervous and terrified. Because I have so many expectations of myself- even and towards this relationship and what I want from and what I want to give… Those are the only adjectives I can use.

Ranbir, who began his acting career with the 2007 film Saawariya, was last seen in the 2018 film Sanju, a biopic about actor Sanjay Dutt. He has Shamshera and Brahmastra lined up for liberation. The actor said he always made a conscious decision about the roles he chose, so he wasn’t ashamed to show his future children any of his films.

He said: “I’m still aware because I know society is affected by it. I won’t do anything to put anyone down for entertainment. It’s my personality. I don’t regret or (am) ashamed of any movie I’ve done I don’t think there’s a movie I’d want to protect them (kids) from I believe failures are as important as successes I would love to hear them say that “dad, that was such a bad movie” and probably laugh with them or “dad that was so much fun” and be very happy about it.

Shamshera, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, is set to hit theaters on July 22. Brahmastra, which marks Ranbir’s directorial debut with Alia, is slated for a September 9 release. The actor recently wrapped filming on the untitled Luv Ranjan film which stars him opposite Shraddha Kapoor. He also has Animal opposite Rashmika Mandanna in the pipeline.
