Giving fans the second Hulk-centric project in MCU history, She-Hulk will add a whole new dynamic to the franchise, largely through the use of CGI.
While rumors swirled a while ago about how Marvel would bring the character of She-Hulk to the small screen, it was confirmed that Maslany’s heroine would be all CGI. Marvel’s first look at the lawyer-turned-cheerful-green-giant work has come with its fair share of complaints, but the series is looking to correct that negativity when it debuts August 17.
Fans got a glimpse of plenty of behind-the-scenes footage featuring Maslany in her Jennifer Walters persona, though a vast majority of her work comes in a CGI Mo-Cap costume for her Hulk-y side. Now, with just weeks before Jennifer Walters and her W-alter-ego take center stage, a new set of images has shared a glimpse of how Maslany brought this unique heroine to life.
She-Hulk Star in Mo-Cap outfit
She-Hulk: Lawyer actress Ginger Gonzaga took Twitter to share a behind-the-scenes selfie of her and series star Tatiana Maslany.

“Real friends pick you up in a golf cart in their mo-cap pajamas! (Not my wardrobe! Don’t read what She-Hulk fans are saying! I already announced that I was playing baby groot’s sister!)”
Looking closer, Maslany is indeed decked out in her Mo-Cap costume, complete with dozens of tiny black dots all over her face. This is the second time fans have seen Maslany in his Mo-Cap costume, though this image offers the best look at the outfit yet.
Marvel continues to use Mo-Cap Action on Disney+
The MCU’s take on the Hulk has always been quite dependent on CGI work, even though the process of bringing that work to screen has improved dramatically over the past 14 years. Now Mark Ruffalo is far from the only one using this technology, not being joined by Maslany as She-Hulkand Tim Roth in his long-awaited return as Abomination.
While the CGI for She-Hulk has been an ongoing issue with fans, these images further confirm that Maslany will be delivering all of his own action in his MCU debut. And with the show’s most recent promotional images and trailers already showing a marked improvement in the main character’s on-screen appearance, the show’s star will only shine brighter in the spotlight.
