Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman has a very famous family, so it’s clear that she was meant to follow in their footsteps.
The TV presenter, 49, was raised in Hampstead, London, by her parents – who divorced when she was three.
Claudia went to the City of London School for Girls and then to New Hall College, Cambridge, where she obtained an MA in Art History.
She landed her first television job in 2001, on the regional talk show Central Weekend.
Her career skyrocketed when she then landed her role on BBC1’s main show Strictly alongside Tess Daly in 2014, where Claudia and her branding spirit, eyeliner and shiny bangs became a staple. Saturday night.

Claudia’s parents – mum Eve Pollard and dad Barry Winkleman – might just be her inspiration for carving out careers in media, since they were both journalists.
His mother Eve is a former editor of Sunday Express, while his father, 82, was a successful book publisher.

Speaking of Claudia’s successful career, Eve told the Sunday Times in 2018: âMany mothers and fathers have had famous children.
âBut Claudia’s fame is so amazing because she slowly took hold and nothing was planned.
“She doesn’t feel famous. If you think you’ve seen her on the subway, you probably are.”

While Claudia does not have full siblings as her parents separated when she was very young, she acquired several step-siblings when her parents remarried.
Mom Eve remarried former Daily Express editor Nicholas Lloyd, while her father also remarried children’s book author Cindy Black.
Claudia gained a younger half-brother named Oliver, thanks to her mother’s second marriage.
She also acquired a half-sister, Sophie Winkleman – who would later become an actress – thanks to her father’s second marriage.

Famous in her own right, Sophie landed the role of Big Suze in the Channel 4 comedy Peep Show.
She starred as Jeremy Usbourne’s ultra chic girlfriend, played by Robert Webb – who was a contestant for this year’s Strictly before having to step down.
Sophie also starred alongside Ashton Kutcher on the American sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Since then, Sophie has become a lady after marrying Lord Freddie Windsor, the son of the Queen’s first cousin, Prince Michael of Kent.

In 2000, Claudia married talented film producer Kris Thykier.
Kris has worked on many hit movies and hit TV shows such as Kick-Ass, The Woman in Gold, and Sky Atlantic’s Riviera.
The couple decided to get married in secret after meeting through mutual friends in the 90s.
They now share three children together – Jake, Matilda and Arthur.
âKids have been a slight obsession for me from the start,â Claudia previously admitted.

While upholding traditional family values, Claudia admitted that she never wanted to depend on a man to help her financially.
âI certainly had aspirations to earn my own money and not be dependent on a man.
âMy mom and dad instilled this in me from a young age. But I didn’t know how I was going to do it,â she told Red magazine.
âI thought I was going to write or work in art. I never thought I would end up standing in a room and reading aloud! “
The TV star also revealed that she is happy to shout out her incredible accomplishments with her friends.
âWeirdly, I don’t downplay my achievements in friendship. I’m proud of it, I have the best girl group,â she said.
“And I’m proud that all of my kids went to school today with the right bag and the right snacks – Twiglets, in case you were wondering.”
