NEW DELHI: Vogue Eyewear, the upscale global brand owned by Italian eyewear company Luxottica, announced on Wednesday that it has named actor Taapsee Pannu its brand ambassador in India.
“Taapsee Pannu truly embodies the free-spirited woman of Vogue Eyewear. She is a famous and versatile actress who has performed a wide variety of roles in films. She is also very close to today’s contemporary women who are the target audience of Vogue eyewear, which makes it a perfect fit for us, ”said Gunjan Saigal, Brand Sales Manager, Vogue Eyewear.
The actor will be featured in a campaign titled ‘LetsVogue‘, donning the latest eyewear collection. The campaign will go live on July 16 and will be promoted on print, social and digital platforms until Diwali. In addition to in-store visibility, the campaign will also operate on the brand pages of third-party e-commerce platforms and business partners.
With the easing of lockdown restrictions, the brand saw a recovery in the fourth quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021. “There is pent-up demand, people have started to travel again, which has contributed to the recovery leading to sales, ”Saigal said.
Price between ₹4,000 and ₹7,000, Vogue Eyewear offers a variety of products including sunglasses, eyeglasses and special collections focused on fashion. It targets Generation Z and Millennials between the ages of 18 and 35.
The brand is available in India in 4,000 stores, including Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters. It is also retailed on third-party e-commerce platforms such as AJIO, Tata Cliq, Nykaa, Flipkart, and Amazon.
The brand, which focuses mainly on women, also ventured into eyewear for men and children in 2019. It will officially unveil the range by the end of 2021.
