Watch Her Evergreen Romantic Songs With Rishi Kapoor



On July 8, Indian actress Neetu Singh Kapoor will be 63 years old. She appeared in several films in the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Born in 1958, the veteran actress was born under the name Harneet Kaur and began her acting career at the age of 6. She made her debut in the 1966 film Suraj as a child actress under the stage name Baby Sonia, then went on to play a dual role in Do Kaliyan, followed by films like Dus Lakh and Waris.

Born in Delhi to Punjabi parents Jatt Sikh, Darshan Singh and Ranjee Kaur Singh, she started playing after the death of her father. After her performances as a child actress, she made her debut in a leading role in Rikshawala, 1972 which turned out to be a failure and was followed by a small role in Yaadon Ki Baraat, 1973.

Surprisingly, it became a success and turned his career upside down. Soon she was offered a bunch of lead roles portraying a happy, lucky girl or the funny girlfriend. She was paired up with Rishi Kapoor on several occasions and eventually the couple fell in love offscreen. However, after a dozen films, she retired at the age of 21 when she was at the peak of her career in 1979 after becoming engaged to Rishi Kapoor.

In 1980 she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Kaala Pathar and in 2011 she and Kapoor were awarded the Best Lifetime Jodi Award by Zee Cine. The evergreen pair were together until Kapoor breathed their last in 2020 and their legacy is immortalized in a number of romantic songs.

Ek Main Aur Ek Tu: This song was also taken from the movie Khel Khel Main and performed by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhoshle.

Pardah Hai Pardah: This melody, performed by Mohammed Rafi, appears in the 1977 hit film Amar Akbar Anthony. This song was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Reading and Best Lyricist.

Tera Phoolon Jaisa rang: Portrayed by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar, he appeared in the 1976 Indian musical drama Kabhi Kabhie with superstars like Amitabh Bhachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.

The film was a romantic musical drama produced and directed by Yash Chopra.

Khullam Khulla Pyar Karenge: Sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhoshle, this romantic song was featured in the 1975 Indian thriller Khel Khel Main.

Kisi Pe Dil Agar Aa Jaye: Another masterpiece by Asha Bhoshle and Shailendra Singh. The song was taken from the 1975 comedy Rafoo Chakkar.
